Since 2005 when Apple released dashboard widgets for OSX Tiger, StarNYC predicted that these would be the apps that would run on the future, not yet announced iPhone, and have geared our EventMail system over the last 2 to be compatible with what we thought would be the language of the iPhone. StarNYC announces today its EventMail Gallery System is being used by partber Frere Independent to power the DiVA Fair Brussels gallery listings.
Today StarNYC launched the “Wreck the Nation” Website built entirely on the EventMail technology platform. Wreck the Nation is the Game of Political Misbehavior. The e-commerce Website offers the Wreck the Nation board game for sale and also ties in to the game, extending the facts on the gameplay cards. The idea behind driving game players to the Web is to provide an online forum for discussion of current events.
The EventMail engine helped StarNYC to rapidly develop the Wreck the Nation website on a very tight 2 week deadline. Pre-developed marketing and e-commerce solutions were skinned and adapted to the site framework built around a central database and user login registry. This site shows the flexibility and customization possible with the EventMail framework.

List members are alerted to the new service via e-mail, linking to the member preferences screen where people can opt-in to receive SMS test messages announcing events right to their cellphone. Last week we showed eventmail to an audience of event planners, producers, etc. at the BizBash EventStyle Show. Nandu, Dan, Phillipa and Cgee manned the eventmail booth at Pier 94 in NYC. Surprise guests, the Smithereens, showed up to play the gig, hors’d'ouvres were passed and conventiongoers helped themselves to the open bar.
